About First Harvest Faith Christian Center
First Harvest Faith Christian Center (FHFCC) was founded on August 24, 2004, in the home of Pastor Anita Riley. This humble beginning marked the start of a mission to serve the community and spread the teachings of Christ. The church grew steadily over the years, and in 2011, it expanded its reach by purchasing a former club known as Moore Country. The building was rebranded as FHFCC, and the church continued to evolve into a hub of spiritual outreach.
The church has been deeply committed to outreach and service, beginning in November 2015 when it hosted a Thanksgiving event to feed the homeless. This act of compassion was followed by additional outreach initiatives over the years. In May 2016, September 2017, and August 2020, FHFCC took to the streets, distributing "goodeid bags" filled with food and essentials to people in need. These efforts were accompanied by preaching and teaching, further emphasizing the church's mission to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the community.
A notable milestone occurred in August 2023 when the church held a service at the newly established FHFCC Prayer Park on Highway 74, a space dedicated to prayer and spiritual gatherings. Over the years, FHFCC has also hosted several men's and women's conferences, fostering growth and fellowship within the church community.
The church's outreach has extended beyond events, with regular support provided to individuals facing financial struggles. FHFCC has made significant donations to help cover expenses like utility bills, rent, and food for those in need.
In addition to these outreach efforts, FHFCC offers regular programming to engage the community in spiritual growth. Every third Friday of the month, the church hosts a Children's Fun Night at 6:30 pm, providing a safe and enjoyable space for children. Bible Study takes place every Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm via Zoom, offering a virtual platform for connection and learning. On Sundays, the church gathers for worship services at 11:00 am, with Sunday School starting at 10:00 am, providing education and spiritual growth for all ages.
Pastor Anita Riley has also contributed to Christian literature, having authored three small books: Pastors Are Preaching but Have No Power, What Happened to the Pastor's Family?, and Deception. These books reflect her dedication to addressing issues within the church and providing guidance for pastors and their families.
In a personal update, Pastor Anita Riley has married and now goes by the name Pastor Anita Brown, signifying a new chapter in her life and ministry.
Throughout its journey, FHFCC has remained focused on its mission to serve, teach, and support the community, making a lasting impact on the lives of those it reaches.
